Charitable objects

A) TO LIAISE AND WORK TOGETHER WITH AGENCIES AND PROFESSIONALS WHO SERVE OLD PEOPLE TO DEVELOP STRATEGIES AND SERVICES TO INCREASE THE AWARENESS OF CHINESE ELDERLY ABOUT THEIR RIGHTS AND ENTITLEMENTS. MOREOVER, TO ADVOCATE THEIR ACCESS TO MAINSTREAM SERVICES WHEN REQUIRED. HOWEVER, DISTINCTIVE OR TAILORED SUPPORT MAY NEED TO BE DEVELOPED TO RESPOND TO THE LANGUAGE, COMMUNITY AND CULTURAL NEEDS OF THE CHINESE ELDERLY. B) TO PROVIDE TRANSLATION AND INTERPRETATION SERVICE IF NECESSARY (DEPENDS ON THE FUNDING, LOCAL AUTHORITIES OR AGENCIES MAY BE CHARGED FOR THIS SERVICE). C) TO HAVE REGULAR MEETINGS FOR THE CHINESE ELDERLY. DURING MEETINGS, INFORMATION CAN BE PROVIDED IN THEIR LANGUAGE, SOCIAL/CULTURAL ACTIVITIES CAN BE ORGANISED TO MAINTAIN THE ELDERLY TO BE ACTIVE IN THE SOCIETY AND TO HAVE A HEALTHY OLD AGE. NEVERTHELESS, THE ASSOCIATION WILL ALSO ORGANISE HOME VISITS AND SUPPORT TO THOSE WHO ARE HOUSE BOUND. D) ENABLE CHINESE OLD PEOPLE TO PARTICIPATE IN CONSULTATIONS.
