The charitable objective of friends of tree is to promote and support the education development of children between the ages of birth to seven years in imporished communities of South Africa. This will be done by: raising awareness of the plight facing young children in South Africa. Raising awareness of the work done by S A NEO'S. Raising funds and accepting donation to disburse to SA NEO'S.

TO TRAIN INDIGENT WOMEN TO BECOME PRE-SCHOOL TEACHERS; 3. TO PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL TOYS AND EQUIPMENT; 4. TO TRAIN PARENTS, COMMITTEES AND PRINCIPALS IN SCHOOL MANAGEMENT; 5. TO CONDUCT PARENTING PROGRAMMES WITH CAREGIVERS OF ORPHANS AND VULNERABLE YOUNG CHILDREN; AND 6. TO SUPPORT COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT WITH A FOCUS ON YOUNG CHILDREN.
