'PUBLIC TAXATION' MEANS THE ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL IMPLICATIONS OF GOVERNMENT TAXATION POLICY, IN PARTICULAR IN RELATION TO THE PERFORMANCE AND MANAGEMENT OF THE ECONOMY, AND THE IMPACT OF TAXATION ON THE PRIVATE SECTOR AND INDIVIDUALS.
