TO FOSTER GOOD CITIZENSHIP FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC AT LARGE BY THE PROVISION AND MAINTENANCE OF A MEMORIAL OR MEMORIALS PARTICULARLY, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, IN EUROPE OR THE UNITED KINGDOM TO PERPETUATE THE MEMORY OF THE 4TH / 7TH ROYAL DRAGOON GUARDS AND OTHER UNITS OF THE BRITISH AND ALLIED ARMED FORCES WHO LOST THEIR LIVES IN THE SECOND WORLD WAR OF 1939 -1945 AND IN OTHER CONFLICTS.
