Charitable objects
1.1 THROUGH THE PATIENT ADVICE AND LIAISON SERVICE ENSURE THE BEST INTERESTS OF PATIENTS, CARERS AND SERVICE USERS IN THEIR TREATMENT AND CARE BY THE NATIONAL HEALTH SERVICE IN ENGLAND AND RAISE THE PROFILE AND PUBLIC AWARENESS OF THE PALS SERVICE. 1.2 IN FURTHERANCE OF THE ABOVE MAIN OBJECTIVE, BUT WITHOUT LIMITATION: A) ACT AS A FOCAL POINT FOR STAKEHOLDER INVOLVEMENT B) PARTICIPATE IN DEBATE AND POLICY MAKING AND SUPPORT LOCAL PALS TO: C) DEVELOP AND PROMOTE STANDARDS OF BEST PRACTICE FOR THE PALS IN THE NHS D) DEVELOP AND PROMOTE COMMON STANDARDS OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING FOR PEOPLE ENGAGED IN PROVIDING PALS. E) PROMOTE THE STANDING OF PEOPLE EMPLOYED WITHIN THE NHS TRUSTS TO PROVIDE THE PALS SERVICE 2 TO PROMOTE THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS AND PRESERVATION AND PROTECTION OF HEALTH FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY PROMOTING HIGH STANDARDS OF MEDICAL CARE AND TREATMENT IN THE NATIONAL HEALTH SERVICE THROUGH THE PATIENT ADVICE AND LIAISON SERVICE, IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY: A) DEVELOPING AND PROMOTING STANDARDS OF BEST PRACTICE FOR PALS B) ADVANCING EDUCATION AND TRAINING FOR PERSONS ENGAGED IN PALS.
