1 THE PROMOTION OF COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN HEALTHY RECREATION FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF PENDLE, LANCASHIRE BY THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR PLAYING SPORT. 2 TO HELP YOUNG PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY THROUGH LEISURE TIME ACTIVITIES, SO AS TO DEVELOP THEIR CAPABILITIES THAT THEY MAY GROW MATURITY AS INDIVIDUALS AND MEMBERS OF SOCIETY.
