Charitable objects
The objects of the Charity ("the Objects") are (1) the provision of specialised counselling and psychotherapy; therapeutic community support and bodywork therapies to promote preserve and protect good physical and mental health with the emphasis upon recovery exclusively for adult survivors of childhood trauma/abuse be that sexual, physical, emotional, psychological, spiritual and/or other forms of abuse including neglect. To also raise awareness of the negative post-traumatic effects of childhood abuse and campaign for the prevention of childhood abuse in the form of appropriate training and other activities to various stakeholders. (2) Nothing in the articles shall authorise an application of the property of the charity for purposes which are not charitable in accordance with section 7 of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and/or section 2 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008. (3) For the purposes of these Articles of Association the Charity’s Area of Benefit is the United Kingdom.
