TO PROMOTE ANY CHARITABLE PURPOSE PRIMARILY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE COMMUNITY IN NEWPORT, SOUTH WALES AND SURROUNDING AREAS ("THE AREA OF BENEFIT") BUT ALSO WHEREVER ASSISTANCE MAY BE REQUIRED BY THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION, THE PROTECTION AND PRESERVATION OF HEALTH AND THE RELIEF OF POVERTY, SICKNESS AND DISTRESS.
