1 THE RESTORATION, PRESERVATION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE RIVER GIPPING(IPSWICH AND STOWMARKET NAVIGATION) BETWEEN PICKEREL BRIDGE STOWMARKET AND WEST END ROAD BRIDGE IPSWICH AND THE CONSERVATION OF ITS NATURAL CHARACTER AS A WATERWAY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC; 2 TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE HISTORY, INDUSTRIAL ARCHAEOLOGY AND NATURAL HISTORY OF THE IPSWICH AND STOWMARKET NAVIGATION, ASSOCIATED STRUCTURES AND NATURAL HISTORY OF THE COUNTRYSIDE THROUGH WHICH THE NAVIGATION RUNS; AND 3 TO PROVIDE OR ASSIST IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE INHABITANTS OF THE AREA OF BENEFIT WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS.
