The charity was not trading as an independent organisation in 2007/08. The Charity started trading on 1 April 2009.It exists to promote efficiency and effectiveness of the six CVSs. We provided advice and information, organised events and provided a representative role for the six CVSs and wider VCS in our area of benefit and regionally in London.

Charitable objects
A) TO PROMOTE THE EFFICIENCY AND EFFECTIVENESS OF CHARITIES BY 1) CO-ORDINATING THE WORK OF THE COUNCILS OF VOLUNTARY SERVICE IN THE LONDON BOROUGHS OF BROMLEY, CROYDON, KINGSTON, MERTON, RICHMOND UPON THAMES, SUTTON ("THE AREA OF BENEFIT"); AND 2) LIASING WITH, AND ACTING AS A FORUM FOR THE EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION BETWEEN COUNCILS OF VOLUNTARY SERVICE, PRINCIPALLY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT IN ORDER TO IDENTIFY GAPS IN THE RANGE OF CHARITABLE SERVICES AVAILABLE TO THE GROUPS OF PEOPLE THEY SERVICE; AND B) TO PROMOTE ANY CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE COMMUNITY IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT AND, IN PARTICULAR, THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION, THE PROTECTION OF HEALTH AND THE RELIEF OF POVERTY, DISTRESS AND SICKNESS, AND IN THE FURTHERANCE OF THE SAID PURPOSES, BUT NOT FURTHER OR OTHERWISE, TO PROMOTE AND ORGANISE CO-OPERATION IN THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE SAME BETWEEN VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS, APPROPRIATE NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANISATIONS AND STATUTORY AUTHORITIES WITHIN THE AREA OF BENEFIT.
