(1) TO PROMOTE THE PHYSICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL HEALTH OF MOTHERS AND INFANTS THROUGH THE PROVISION OF SUPPORT, EDUCATION AND PRACTICAL ADVICE; (2) TO PROMOTE EQUAL ACCESS TO HEALTH SERVICES FOR FAMILIES WITH BABIES SO THAT PEOPLE WHO HAVE DIFFICULTY ACCESSING THESE SERVICES ARE ENABLED TO DO SO; AND (3) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC, INCLUDING PROFESSIONALS WHO HAVE CONTACT WITH YOUNG PEOPLE AND FAMILIES, ABOUT HEALTH ISSUES AFFECTING MOTHERS AND CHILDREN, INCLUDING BREASTFEEDING.
