Charitable objects
THE TRUSTEES SHALL HOLD THE TRUST FUND AND ITS INCOME UPON TRUST OR APPLY IT IN SUCH MANNER AS THEY SHALL FROM TIME TO TIME THINK FIT FOR SUCH PURPOSES AS ARE CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAW OF ENGLAND AND WALES, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, BY MAKING GRANTS TO CHARITIES WITH PURPOSES THAT INCLUDE: 1) THE PROMOTION OF HUMAN RIGHTS (AS SET OUT IN THE UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS AND SUBSEQUENT UNITED NATIONS CONVENTIONS AND DECLARATIONS) FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT; 2) THE PROMOTION OF EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT; 3) THE RELIEF OF POVERTY; 4) THE RELIEF OF UNEMPLOYMENT FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT; 5) THE PROMOTION OF PUBLIC SAFETY AND THE PREVENTION OF CRIME FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT; 6) THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC.
