1) THE RELIEF OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OF NEEDY PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES FROM CYPRUS UNDERGOING MEDICAL TREATMENT IN UK HOSPITALS, BY PROVIDING FREE ACCOMMODATION AND/OR BY MAKING GRANTS OF MONEY FOR PROVIDING OR PAYING FOR SERVICES OR FACILITIES NOT OTHERWISE PROVIDED FOR. 2) TO PROVIDE EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE TO INDIVIDUALS IN THE UK CYPRIOT & GREEK COMMUNITIES ON A CASE-BY-CASE BASIS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE COMMITTEE. 3) TO INSTIGATE PROJECTS AND PROGRAMMES TO HELP GROUPS OR INDIVIDUALS IN THE CYPRIOT COMMUNITIES SUCH AS FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS OR STUDENTS FROM LOW-INCOME FAMILIES, AS DISCUSSED AND APPROVED BY THE COMMITTEE 4) TO PROMOTE RESEARCH FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT INTO THE GROUPS OF PERSONS WHO ARE IN NEED OF MEDICAL HELP AND TO DISSEMINATE THE USEFUL RESULTS.
