Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE GROUP ARE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THOSE RESIDENT IN SOUTH TYNESIDE ("THE AREA OF BENEFIT"): TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY PREVENTING PEOPLE FROM BECOMING SOCIALLY EXCLUDED, RELIEVING THEIR NEEDS AND ASSISTING THEM TO INTEGRATE INTO SOCIETY. TO RELIEVE FINANCIAL HARDSHIP IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY THE PROVISION OF FOOD, FREE ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE TO PERSONS WHO ARE IN NEED. TO FURTHER FOR THE BENEFIT OF THOSE RESIDENT IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT, WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, RACE OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS BY ASSOCIATING TOGETHER THE SAID RESIDENTS AND THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECTIVE OF IMPROVING THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE. TO PROMOTE RACIAL HARMONY FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY ADVANCING EDUCATION AND RAISING AWARENESS ABOUT DIFFERENT RACIAL GROUPS TO PROMOTE GOOD RELATIONS BETWEEN PERSONS OF DIFFERENT RACIAL GROUPS; AND WORKING TOWARDS THE ELIMINATION OF DISCRIMINATION ON THE GROUNDS OF RACE. TO FURTHER SUCH OTHER EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE PURPOSES (AS ARE CHARITABLE UNDER ENGLISH LAW) AS THE COMMITTEE SEES FIT FROM TIME TO TIME."
