TO ASSIST FORMER PUPILS OF BITTERLEY SCHOOL WHO WERE RESIDENT IN THE PARISH OF BITTERLEY WITH MIDDLETON (ECCLESIASTICAL PARISH AS DEFINED IN 1952) TO FURTHER THEIR EDUCATION, EITHER ACADEMIC OR VOCATIONAL.
