The Charitable Trust was set up on 15 September 2007 with its principal aim being to making donations to worthy causes supporting the Jewish Community in the United Kingdom and elsewhere in the world. However, it was stipulated that up to fifteen percent of the donations in any one year may be made to general charities not specifically aiding the Jewish Community.

Charitable objects
TO MAKE DONATIONS AND/OR PAY STIPENDS TO JEWISH CHARITABLE ORGANISATIONS OR TO JEWISH RELIGIOUS ORGANISATIONS AND TO POOR, AGED AND/OR INFIRM JEWS, WHETHER THEY RESIDE IN THE UNITED KINGDOM OR OVERSEAS AND IF THE TRUSTEES SO DECIDE THEY MAY PAY OUT A MAXIMUM OF FIFTEEN PER CENT (15%) OF THE CHARITY'S ANNUAL INCOME TO NON-JEWISH POOR, AGED AND/OR INFIRM PERSONS OR TO CHARITABLE ORGANISATIONS CARING FOR SUCH PERSONS. THE ABOVE OBJECTS SHALL INCLUDE THE PROVISION OF BURSARIES, BOOKS AND/OR OTHER MATERIALS WHICH ASSIST OR MIGHT ASSIST DESERVING INDIVIDUALS TO PURSE THEIR RELIGIOUS OR ACADEMIC STUDIES IN AREAS OR IN DISCIPLINES APPROVED OF BY THE TRUSTEES.
