THE CHARITYãS OBJECTS (THE OBJECTS) ARE TO: A) TO PROMOTE THE REHABILITATION OF PEOPLE WITH A PHYSICAL DISABILITY, LEARNING DIFFICULTY, LEARNING DISABILITY, SENSORY LOSS, MENTAL HEALTH PROBLEM, AN ACQUIRED BRAIN INJURY, CHRONIC ILLNESS OR WHO ARE OTHERWISE SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED WHO ARE UNABLE TO OBTAIN OR MAINTAIN EMPLOYMENT THROUGH THE PROVISION OF EDUCATION AND VOCATIONAL TRAINING IN THE COLLECTION OF WASTE MATERIALS, PROCESSING MATERIALS AND MARKETING SALE AND DISTRIBUTION OF REUSABLE OR RECYCLED PRODUCTS AND THE HANDLING CONTROL STORAGE AND DISPOSAL OF THOSE ITEMS COVERED WITHIN THE WASTE ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT DIRECTIVE (WEEE). B) TO PROMOTE THE VOLUNTARY SECTOR FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC IN DORSET AND SOMERSET/WILTSHIRE BORDERS BY: I) LIAISING BETWEEN CHARITIES, VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS, GOVERNMENT AGENCIES AND OTHER GROUPS ON RELEVANT ISSUES; II) PROVIDING TRAINING, CONFERENCES AND SEMINARS ON SUBJECTS RELEVANT TO THE EFFICIENCY OF THE VOLUNTARY SECTOR. III) IDENTIFYING NEEDS IN THE VOLUNTARY SECTOR AND ESTABLISHING PROJECTS OR POLICIES TO ADDRESS THEM. IV) ASSISTING IN THE ADMINISTRATION OF FUNDING PROGRAMMES TO CHARITIES AND VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS, MONITORING FOR GRANTS, RECOMMENDING GRANTS, ASSISTING IN APPLICATIONS FOR GRANTS. V) PROVIDING INFORMATION TO THE PRESS AND THE PUBLIC ON THE OPERATION OF, OR PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED BY, THE VOLUNTARY SECTOR. VI) ACTING AS A REPRESENTATIVE OF THE VOLUNTARY SECTOR IN RELATION TO GOVERNMENT POLICIES AND LEGISLATION.
