TO PROMOTE THE RELIEF OF THE AGED AND THE PHYSICALLY DISABLED IN THE BOROUGH OF GATESHEAD IN THE COUNTY OF TYNE & WEAR IN ANY MANNER DEEMED BY LAW TO BE CHARITABLE 2 TO PROVIDE OR ASSIST IN THE FACILITIES FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR THOSE PERSONS WHO HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF THEIR AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABLEMENT, POVERTY OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES WITH THE OBJECTS OF IMPROVING THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE; AND 3 TO PROVIDE ACTIVITIES WHICH ASSIST IN THE PROMOTION OF HEALTH
