Charitable objects
THE TRUSTEES MUST APPLY THE INCOME OF THE CHARITY IN FURTHERING THE FOLLOWING OBJECTS ("THE OBJECTS") FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC 1. THE RELIEF OF SUFFERING OF BIRMANS AND, WHERE APPLICABLE, THEIR FELINE COMPANIONS IN NEED OF CARE AND ATTENTION, 2. IN THE EVENT OF THE CHARITY RECEIVING A REQUEST FROM A BONA FIDE BREED RESCUE FOR ASSISTANCE AND AT THE DISCRETION OF THE TRUSTEES, THE SUPPORT OF ANY ACTIONS FOR THE RELIEF OF SUFFERING OF CATS OF THAT BREED RESCUE WHETHER BY PRACTICAL OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, ANY SUCH SUPPORT SHALL BE LIMITED TO EACH SPECIFIC REQUEST AND SHALL NOT EXTEND TO CONTINUAL SUPPORT, 3. THE PROVISION AND MAINTENANCE OF RESCUE HOMES OR OTHER FACILITIES FOR THE RECEPTION, CARE AND TREATMENT OF SUCH ANIMALS, AND 4. THE ADVANCEMENT OF ANIMAL WELFARE BY PROMOTING AND CONTRIBUTING TO AND SUPPORTING THE CARRYING OUT OF SCIENTIFIC STUDY AND RESEARCH ADDRESSING ISSUES IN THE BIRMAN BREED.
