FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION IN THE FIELD OF COMPUTATIONAL MATERIAL SCIENCE AND RELATED SUBJECTS, AND TO PROMOTE THE STUDY AND RESEARCH WORK IN THE FIELD OF MATERIAL SCIENCE AND RELATED SUBJECTS AND TO PUBLISH THE RESULTS OF EACH STUDY AND RESEARCH BY THE CO-ORDINATION OF AND COLLABORATION AND DISSEMINATION OF INFORMATION ON NAB INITIO COMPUTATIONAL MODELLING AMONG THE EUROPEAN RESEARCH COMMUNITY AND FROM THE RESEARCH COMMUNITY TO OTHERS OUTSIDE, THE MAINTENANCE AND ENHANCEMENT OF EUROPE'S STATUS AS THE LEADING RESEARCH AREA IN THE WORLD FOR COMPUTATIONAL MATERIALS SCIENCE FROM FIRST PRINCIPLES, THE PROMOTION OF RESEARCH, THE CONTINUOUS DEVELOPMENT OF THEORETICAL AND COMPUTATIONAL METHODOLOGY, THE PROMOTION AND CO-ORDINATION OF COLLABORATION WITHIN THE EUROPEAN RESEARCH COMMUNITY BY MEASURES INCLUDING, SUPPORTING, ORGANISING AND OTHERWISE BEING INVOLVED IN WORKSHOPS, CONFERENCES, SUMMER SCHOOLS, TUTORIAL COURSES, COLLABORATIVE EXCHANGE VISITS AND ANY OTHER TRAINING RELATED ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS, DISSEMINATING INFORMATION ABOUT SUCH ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS, DISSEMINATING OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO RESEARCH PROGRESS AND FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES, ENGAGING WITH THE WIDER SCIENTIFIC COMMUNITY, INDUSTRY, EUROPEAN POLICY MAKERS AND TRANS-EUROPEAN COMPUTER CENTRES, MAINTAINING CO-OPERATION WITH OTHER SCIENTIFIC AND RESEARCH ORGANISATIONS AND COMMUNITIES IN EUROPE AND THE WORLD, ADVANCING SUCH PURPOSES AS ARE CHARITABLE UNDER THE LAWS OF ENGLAND AND WALES.
