Act as a sounding board and give families support when they are going through the recognition process, diagnosis by health authority, and acceptance by local authority. At times, being a mediator between families and professionals.

Charitable objects
TO RELIEVE CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE WITH SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS AND THEIR PARENTS AND CARERS, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, BY THE PROVISION OF ADVICE AND SUPPORT. PROVIDE SUPPORT AND ADVICE WHICH DEVELOP CHILDRENS/YOUNG PEOPLES SKILLS, CAPACITIES AND CAPABILITIES TO ENABLE THEM TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCIETY AS MATURE AND RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS. TO DEVELOP THE CAPACITY AND SKILLS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE DISADVANTAGED COMMUNITY IN SUCH A WAY THAT THEY ARE BETTER ABLE TO IDENTIFY, AND HELP MEET, THEIR NEEDS AND TO PARTICIPATE MORE FULLY IN SOCIETY.
