Charitable objects
TO PROMOTE, FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, THE RELIEF OF NEEDS OF PRISONERS SUFFERING FROM OR AT RISK OF SUFFERING PHYSICAL OR MENTAL ILL HEALTH OR LEARNING DISABILITIES/DIFFICULTIES BY DEVELOPING, SUPPORTING AND ENHANCING THE ABILITY OF FRONT LINE STAFF TO RELIEVE THOSE NEEDS AND SO IMPROVE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THEIR CARE, IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY: (A) DEVELOPING AND PROVIDING RELEVANT MULTIDISCIPLINARY TRAINING PROGRAMMES FOR FRONT LINE STAFF SO AS TO DEVELOP THEIR KNOWLEDGE AND PRACTICAL SKILLS; (B) DEVELOPING RELEVANT SKILLS AND EXPERTISE AMONGST THOSE PROVIDING SUCH TRAINING FOR FRONT LINE STAFF SO AS TO IMPROVE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF SUCH TRAINING; (C ) DEVELOPING AND MAINTAINING A DATABASE OF RESEARCH CONCERNING THE NEEDS OF SUCH PRISONERS TOGETHER WITH THE DISSEMINATION OF THE USEFUL RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH; (D) IDENTIFYING AND DISSEMINATING BEST PRACTICE CONCERNING THE RELIEF OF THOSE NEEDS AND THE CARE OF SUCH PRISONERS; (E) EVALUATING THE IMPACT OF SUCH TRAINING AND RESEARCH; (F) ESTABLISHING AND DEVELOPING LINKS WITH GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENTS, THE VOLUNTARY SECTOR, ACADEMIC INSTITUTIONS AND OTHER RELEVANT THIRD PARTIES.
