A) TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC BY: I) THE RELIEF OF POVERTY AND THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE IN SOCIALLY AND DISADVANTAGED COMMUNITIES IN ALL PARTS OF THE WORLD AND PARTICULARLY IN AFRICA; II) THE PROMOTION OF SUSTAINABLE MEANS OF ACHIEVING ECONOMIC GROWTH AND REGENERATION IN ALL PARTS OF THE WORLD AND PARTICULARLY IN AFRICA; (SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT MEANS "DEVELOPMENT WHICH MEETS THE NEEDS OF THE PRESENT WITHOUT COMPROMISING THE ABILITY OF FUTURE GENERATION TO MEET THEIR OWN NEEDS"); B) THE RELIEF OF UNEMPLOYMENT FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC IN SUCH WAYS AS MAY BE THOUGHT FIT INCLUDING ASSISTANCE TO FIND EMPLOYMENT IN SUCH PARTS OF THE WORLD INCLUDING AFRICA AS THE TRUSTEES MAY FROM TIME TO TIME THINK FIT; C) TO RELIEVE SICKNESS AND FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AND TO PROMOTE AND PRESERVE GOOD HEALTH INCLUDING BUT NOT BY WAY OF LIMITATION THOSE INFECTED OR AFFECTED BY HIV/AIDS BY THE PROVISION OF FUNDS, GOODS OR SERVICES OF ANY KIND INCLUDING THROUGH THE PROVISION OF COUNSELLING AND SUPPORT IN SUCH PARTS OF AFRICA AND THE WORLD AS THE TRUSTEES MAY FROM TIME TO TIME THINK FIT.
