Charitable objects
THE TRUSTEES MUST APPLY THE INCOME OF THE CHARITY IN FURTHERING THE FOLLOWING OBJECTS ("THE OBJECTS") PARTICULARLY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY FOR EAST AFRICAN AND OTHER SETTLERS, REFUGEES AND ASYLUM SEEKERS IN LIVERPOOL AND BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND ("THE AREA OF BENEFIT") WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF GENDER, POLITICAL, OR OTHER OPINION. 1) THE RELIEF OF POVERTY, SICKNESS, DISABILITY AND DISTRESS BY THE PROVISION OF INFORMATION AND ADVICE RELATING TO FINDING HEALTH CARE, BENEFITS, HOUSING, EDUCATION AND OTHER SUCH SERVICES. 2) THE PROMOTION, PRESERVATION AND PROTECTION OF THE HEALTH, AND WELL-BEING OF EAST AFRICANS RESIDING IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF POLITICAL OR OTHER OPINION. 3) THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION OF EAST AFRICAN SCHOOL-AGED CHILDREN BY PROVIDING AN AFTER SCHOOL STUDY SERVICE AND ENHANCING THE LITERACY AND COMMUNICATION CAPABILITIES OF EAST AFRICAN ADULTS, INCLUDING PARENTS, BY PROVIDING TRAINING AND OTHER LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES. 4) THE PROVISION AND PROMOTION OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING IN EAST AFRICAN MUSIC AND ASSOCIATED ARTISTIC MATTERS IN ORDER TO IMPROVE KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF EAST AFRICAN LANGUAGES, HISTORY AND CULTURE. 5) THE PROVISION, OR ASSISTANCE IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION AND OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION, FOR EAST AFRICAN SETTLERS, REFUGEES AND ASYLUM SEEKERS, IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF THE SAID INHABITANTS.
