(I) THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS AND THE PRESERVATION OF HEALTH BY MAKING CONTRIBUTIONS TO LOCAL HOSPICES IN THE NORTH WEST OF ENGLAND (II) THE RELIEF OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AMONG PEOPLE LIVING OR WORKING IN A LOCAL AUTHORITY IN THE NORTH WEST OF ENGLAND BY PROVIDING SUCH PERSONS WITH GOODS/SERVICES WHICH THEY COULD NOT OTHERWISE AFFORD THROUGH LACK OF MEANS (III) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF PUPILS WITHIN A LOCAL AUTHORITY IN THE NORTH WEST OF ENGLAND BY PROVIDING OR ASSISTING IN THE .PROVISION OF FACILITIES .
