The Charity own and manage a collection of free -flying parrots and macaws located at Kirkby Stephen, Cumbria. The collection provides opportunities for the field study of parrots which enhances knowledge of the physiology and behaviour of the birds and assists in the development of conservation techniques and policies.

(I) THE STUDY AND CONSERVATION OF SPECIES OF BIRDS AND IN PARTICULAR BUT WITHOUT PREJUDICE TO THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING MEMBERS OF THE ORDER OF PSITTACIFORMES (PARROTS OF ALL KINDS) AND ESPECIALLY THOSE SPECIES FROM TIME TO TIME PLACED IN THE CATEGORIES CRITICALLY ENDANGERED, ENDANGERED,VULNERABLE,CONSERVATION DEPENDENT, NEAR THREATENED AND DATA DEFICIENT BY THE SPECIES SURVIVAL COMMISSION OF THE INTERNATIONAL UNION FOR CONSERVATION OF NATURE AND NATURAL RESOURCES (IUCN); (II) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC REGARDING ALL ASPECTS OF THE BIOLOGY OF BIRDS AND IN PARTICULAR BUT WITHOUT PREJUDICE TO THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING THE ECOLOGY, PHYSIOLOGY, BEHAVIOUR AND CONSERVATION OF MEMBERS OF THE ORDER OF PSITTACIFORMES (PARROTS OF ALL KINDS)
