Shanthona's activity always emphases on the benefit of inhabitants of Leagrave Ward particular to protect and preserve public health, training, provide and assist in the provision of information and advice and develop a self support group for women and a youth group for girls to enhance their quality of life relating to health, educational and social opportunities.

TO RELIEVE THE FINANCIAL HARDSHIP SICKNESS AND POOR HEALTH AND TO IMPROVE THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE WOMEN AND GIRLS FROM DISADVANTAGED MINORITY ETHNIC COMMUNITIES RESIDING IN LUTON BEDFORDSHIRE. THE PROVISION OF HEALTH RECREATIONAL AND LEISURE TIME ACTIVITIES AND FACILITIES IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR THOSE PERSONS WHO HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES AS AFORESAID BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH AGE INFIRMITY OR DISABLEMENT POVERTY OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES. TO DEVELOP THE CAPACITY AND SKILLS OF WOMEN AND GIRLS FROM MINORITY ETHNIC COMMUNITIES IN LUTON WHO ARE SOCIALLY AND OR ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED IN SUCH A WAY THAT THEY ARE BETTER ABLE TO IDENTIFY AND HELP MEET THEIR NEEDS AND TO PARTICIPATE FULLY IN SOCIETY GENERALLY
