MEMORANDUM AND ARTICLES OF ASSOCIATION INCORPORATED 29 JULY 2008 AS AMENDED BY SPECIAL RESOLUTION 9 MARCH 2009
Charitable objects
3.1 TO RELIEVE PERSONS, PREDOMINATELY IN DERBYSHIRE, WHO ARE IN CONDITIONS OF NEED, HARDSHIP AND DISTRESS BY REASON OF THEIR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES AND IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY DEPLOYING HUMAN AND MATERIAL RESOURCES TO PROVIDE APPROPRIATE RELIEF TO SUCH PERSONS AS THE DIRECTORS MAY FROM TIME TO TIME THINK FIT. 3.2 TO ADVANCE EDUCATION, TRAINING AND RE-TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES, PARTICULARLY AMONG UNEMPLOYED PEOPLE, AND PROVIDING UNEMPLOYED PEOPLE WITH WORK EXPERIENCE. 3.3 TO PROVIDE OR ASSIST IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION OF INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABILITY, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR SOCIAL CIRCUMSTANCES WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE.' 3.4 TO RELIEVE FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AMONG PERSONS, PREDOMINATELY IN DERBYSHIRE, BY PROVIDING INFORMATION, ADVICE AND COUNSELLING SERVICES (PARTICULARLY IN RELATION TO WELFARE BENEFITS, DEBT AND PERSONAL FINANCE MANAGEMENT, ACCOMMODATION AND HOMELESSNESS, THE GAINING AND RETAINING OF EMPLOYMENT AND OTHER SIMILAR MATTERS) WHICH THEY COULD NOT OTHERWISE AFFORD THROUGH LACK OF MEANS.
