Providing support for HIV/AIDS orphans and other vulnerable children primarily in Africa. We work alongside their extended families and communities, enabling social welfare programs for the children. We help develop family livelihoods through the provision of village savings and loans schemes and business guidance. All of the work of Hope for a Child is highly sustainable and replicable.

TO DEVELOP THE CAPACITY AND SKILLS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED COMMUNITIES IN AFRICA IN SUCH A WAY THAT THEY ARE BETTER ABLE TO IDENTIFY, AND HELP MEET, THEIR NEEDS AND TO PARTICIPATE MORE FULLY IN SOCIETY IN PARTICULAR (BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY) BY THE SUPPORT OF ABANDONED AND ORPHANED CHILDREN, THEIR FAMILIES AND THE COMMUNITIES DEVASTATED BY HIV/AIDS IN AFRICA, AND THROUGH THE USE OF CHILD WELFARE WORKERS AND COMMUNITY MANAGED SAVINGS AND LOAN SCHEMES.
