Activities - how the charity spends its money
Mercy Centre UK supports the Human Development Foundation in Bangkok, Thailand for children who have been abused and abandoned, living with Aids or HIV. We support young people in education and leisure when they visit the UK. We will initiate an educational programme which will raise awareness of the sex trade and its consequences.

1 TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN IN BANGKOK, THAILAND BY PROVIDING AND ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF AFFORDABLE SCHOOLING. 2 THE RELIEF OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP BY THE PROVISION OF LEGAL ADVICE TO UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN WHO THROUGH A LACK OF MEANS WOULD OTHERWISE BE UNABLE TO OBTAIN SUCH ADVICE. 3 THE RELIEF AND ASSISTANCE OF PEOPLE IN THAILAND WHO ARE THE VICTIMS OF WAR OR NATURAL DISASTER, TROUBLE OR CATASTROPHE IN PARTICULAR BY THE SUPPLY OF MEDICAL AID TO SUCH PERSONS. 4 TO RELIEVE FINANCIAL HARDSHIP, SICKNESS AND POOR HEALTH AMONGST HIV/AIDS SUFFERERS IN BANGKOK, THAILAND. 5 THE RELIEF OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AMONGST PEOPLE LIVING IN BANGKOK, THAILAND BY PROVIDING SUCH PERSONS WITH GOODS AND SERVICES WHICH THEY COULD NOT OTHERWISE AFFORD THROUGH LACK OF MEANS. 6 TO PROMOTE AND PROTECT THE PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH OF SUFFERERS OF HIV OR AIDS IN BANGKOK, THAILAND THROUGH THE PROVISION OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, SUPPORT, EDUCATION AND PRACTICAL ADVICE. 7 TO ACT AS A RESOURCE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE UP TO THE AGE OF 18 YEARS LIVING IN BANGKOK, THAILAND AND IN PARTICULAR SLUM CHILDREN BY PROVIDING ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE AND ORGANISING PROGRAMMES WITH PHYSICAL, EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER ACTIVITIES AS A MEANS OF: A ADVANCING IN LIFE AND HELPING YOUNG PEOPLE BY DEVELOPING THEIR SKILLS, CAPACITIES AND CAPABILITIES TO ENABLE THEM TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCIETY AS INDEPENDEDNT, MATURE AND RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS; B ADVANCING EDUCATION; C RELIEVING UNEMPLOYMENT; D PROVIDING RECREATIONAL AND LEISURE TIME ACTIVITY IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR PEOPLE LIVING IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT WHO HAD NEED BY REASON OF THEIR YOUNG, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABILITY, POVERTY OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES WITH A VIEW TO IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF SUCH PERSONS.
