Charitable objects
SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF LANCASHIRE AND MORE PARTICULARLY WITHIN THE CITY OF PRESTON AND SUCH OTHER WORK WITHIN THE UNITED KINGDOM AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL THINK FIT, INCLUDING (BUT NOT LIMITED TO): (A) THE RELIEF OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AMONG PEOPLE LIVING OR WORKING IN PRESTON BY PROVIDING SUCH PERSONS WITH GOODS/SERVICES WHICH THEY COULD NOT OTHERWISE AFFORD THROUGH LACK OF MEANS (B) TO ADVANCE IN LIFE AND RELIEVE NEEDS OF YOUNG PEOPLE THROUGH: (I) THE PROVISION OF RECREATIONAL AND LEISURE ACTIVITIES PROVIDED IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE, DESIGNED TO IMPROVE THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE; (II) PROVIDING SUPPORT AND ACTIVITIES WHICH DEVELOP THEIR SKILLS, CAPACITIES AND CAPABILITIES TO ENABLE THEM TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCIETY AS MATURE AND RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS. (C) THE RELIEF OF UNEMPLOYMENT FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC IN SUCH WAYS AS MAY BE THOUGHT FIT, INCLUDING ASSISTANCE TO FIND EMPLOYMENT.
