Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE:- 1. TO PROMOTE THE EFFICIENCY AND EFFECTIVENESS OF CHARITIES AND EFFICIENT USE OF CHARITY RESOURCES IN ANY PART OF THE WORLD BY: - (A) PROVIDING THEM WITH AFFORDABLE OFFICE SPACE AND ADDITIONAL SUPPORT SERVICES; (B) PROVIDING INFORMATION, GUIDANCE, TRAINING, TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE TO NGOS, CHARITIES AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS ESTABLISHED TO FURTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSES. 2. SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSES AS ARE EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE ACCORDING TO THE LAWS OF ENGLAND AND WALES AS THE TRUSTEES MAY FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.
