Charitable objects

1) TO ADVANCE EDUCATION, LEARNING AND RESEARCH IN THE UNIVERSITY OF CAMBRIDGE; 2) TO PROVIDE FOR MEN AND WOMEN WHO SHALL BE MEMBERS OF THE UNIVERSITY A COLLEGE WHEREIN THEY MAY WORK FOR POSTGRADUATE DEGREES IN THE UNIVERSITY OR MAY CARRY OUT POSTGRADUATE OR OTHER SPECIAL STUDIES AT CAMBRIDGE PROVIDED THAT NO MEMBER OF THE COLLEGE AND NO CANDIDATE FOR MEMBERSHIP THEREOF SHALL BE SUBJECT TO ANY TEST OF A RELIGIOUS, POLITICAL OR SOCIAL CHARACTER.
