Charitable objects
THE PURPOSES OF THE UCCUK ARE:- 3.1 TO ADVANCE THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION IN THE UNITED KINGDOM FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC THROUGH IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY: A) THE HOLDING OF PRAYER MEETINGS, LECTURES (PUBLIC CELEBRATIONS OF RELIGIOUS FESTIVALS), PRODUCING AND/OR DISTRIBUTING LITERATURE ON CHRISTIANITY TO ENLIGHTEN OTHERS ABOUT THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION AND RESTORE A SENSE OF HOPE AND PEACE TO PEOPLE'S LIVES, THEIR COMMUNITIES AND THE NATIONS; B) PROVIDING AN ORGANISATION THROUGH WHICH CHRISTIANS CAN WORK TOGETHER IN LOCAL, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL GROUPS TO BE AN EFFECTIVE PART OF THE BODY OF CHRIST IN ACTION IN THE UNITED KINGDOM AND BEYOND; C) PROVIDING MEANS THROUGH WHICH ITS MEMBERS CAN EXPRESS THEIR CALLING TO BE DISCIPLES AND APOSTLES OF JESUS CHRIST BY:- I) ENCOURAGING CREATIVE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN MEMBERS AND BETWEEN THE LOCAL CHURCHES IN WHICH THEY WORK. II) ACHIEVING COMMON CHRISTIAN PURPOSES THROUGH FELLOWSHIP. III) RAISING AND SUPPORTING THE CHRISTIAN MINISTRY. IV) HOLDING AND ADMINISTERING CHURCH PROPERTY. V) HELPING TO RELATE THE UCCUK TO THE LARGER BODY OF CHRIST. 3.2 TO RELIEVE NEED, THE POOR AND VICTIMS OF NATURAL DISASTERS BOTH IN THE UNITED KINGDOM AND OTHER NATIONS. 3.3 THE FURTHERANCE OF SUCH OTHER PURPOSES AS ARE EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE UNDER THE LAWS OF ENGLAND AND WALES AS THE TRUSTEES FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE.
