In a County Durham area of high unemployment,through workshops and rehearsals,the Youth Theatre encourages an interest,and offers young people training ,in all areas of Theatre;singing,dancing,acting,technical and design,resulting in 2 annual productions and several concerts in the community,where all aspects are performed,designed,constructed and operated by young people.

Charitable objects
1 TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE AGED BETWEEN 12 AND 18 YEARS IN COUNTY DURHAM IN THE ART OF THEATRE BY ENCOURAGING AND PROMOTING INVOLVEMENT IN THEATRE AND PERFORMING ARTS AND PROVIDING WORKSHOPS AND OTHER EDUCATIONAL EVENTS. 2 TO PROMOTE, IMPROVE, AND MAINTAIN THE EDUCATION AND APPRECIATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE ART OF THEATRE, BY THE PROVISION OF THEATRICAL PERFORMANCES.
