Charitable objects
3.1 IN THE SOMERSET AREA TO EDUCATE YOUNG PEOPLE UNDER THE AGE OF 18, THEIR FAMILIES AND HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS TO IMPROVE AWARENESS AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE EXISTENCE, DIAGNOSIS AND ONGOING MANAGEMENT OF DIABETES IN YOUNG PEOPLE 3.2 TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE HEALTH OF DIABETES SUFFERERS UNDER THE AGE OF 18 AND THOSE CARING FOR THEM IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, BY PROVIDING A RESPITE SERVICE AND BY PROVIDING AND ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES, SUPPORT SERVICES AND EQUIPMENT NOT NORMALLY PROVIDED BY THE STATUTORY AUTHORITIES; 3.3 TO HELP DIABETES SUFFERERS UNDER THE AGE OF 18 DEVELOP THEIR CAPABILITIES ESPECIALLY, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, THROUGH LEISURE ACTIVITY AND ENCOURAGE FULL PARTICIPATION IN DAY TO DAY LIFE; AND THAT THEY DO SO IN SUCH A MANNER AS TO ALWAYS BE EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE AND PROVIDING A PUBLIC BENEFIT
