CHAT provides free, confidential support, counselling, information and advice to all young people aged 9-25yrs in Oundle, Thrapston and surrounding villages. To do this CHAT has Service Level agreements with the local schools. Also running appointments systems in Oundle & Thrapston offices, via3 part-time fully qualified counsellors and a volunteer Management Committee.

1 CHAT EXISTS TO RELIEVE AND PREVENT SUFFERING BY MENTAL OR PHYSICAL ILL-HEALTH, OR BY FINANCIAL HARDSHIP, OR NEED, CAUSED BY OTHER REASONS THAN ILL-HEALTH THROUGH PROVISION OF FREE AND CONFIDENTIAL COUNSELLING, INFORMATION, PREGNANCY TESTING AND OTHER SERVICES TO YOUNG PEOPLE AGED 25 YEARS AND UNDER IN OUNDLE, THRAPSTON AND SURROUNDING AREAS (HEREINAFTER CALLED THE 'AREA OF BENEFIT') 2 TO ASSIST IN THE PROMOTION OF THE PHYSICAL AND MORAL WELFARE OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE OUNDLE AND THRAPSTON AREA AND TO FACILITATE THEIR EDUCATION SO THAT THEY GROW TO FULL MATURITY AS RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS AND THEIR QUALITY OF LIFE MAY BE IMPROVED 3 ESTABLISH, MAINTAIN AND DEVELOP AN INFORMATION AND COUNSELLING SERVICES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE AGED 11-25 YEARS
