Charitable objects

5.1 THE MAINTENANCE, CONSERVATION, PROTECTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT OF THE PUBLIC PARK IN GILLINGHAM, KENT TO BE KNOWN AS LOWER LINES PARK (THE "PARK") FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE LOCAL INHABITANTS AND THE PUBLIC GENERALLY, TO INCLUDE THE SCHEDULED MONUMENT KNOWN AS THE CHATHAM LINES LOCATED IN THE PARK; 5.2 TO ADVANCE PUBLIC EDUCATION WITH PARTICULAR REGARD TO THE HISTORIC AND ENVIRONMENTAL FEATURES OF THE PARK; AND 5.3 TO PROVIDE FACILITIES FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND TO IMPROVE THE CONDITIONS OF THE LIVES OF INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABILITY, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR SOCIAL CIRCUMSTANCES."
