Charitable objects
(A) ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION (I) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC WHO ARE NIGERIAN BY BIRTH OR DESCENT OR MARRIAGE OR NATURALISATION OR ADOPTION (HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO AS "NIGERIAN" PERSONS) IN OR AROUND THE METROPOLITAN DISTRICT OF LEEDS (HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO AS "LEEDS"); AND (II) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC (IN ANY PART OF THE WORLD) IN THE KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF NIGERIAN CULTURE AND THE NIGERIAN PEOPLES. (B) PROVISION OF MEETING VENUES TO BENEFIT MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC OF NIGERIAN DESCENT RESIDENT IN LEEDS, WITHOUT DISTINCTION ON GROUNDS OF SEX, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, RACE OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS BY ASSOCIATING TOGETHER THE SAID RESIDENTS IN A MEETING VENUE OR MEETING VENUES IDENTIFIED FOR SUCH PURPOSE, WITH THE OBJECTIVE OF IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR THE SAID RESIDENTS (INCLUDING IN RELATION TO THE PROMOTION OF RACIAL HARMONY, AS REFERRED TO BELOW). (C) PROMOTION OF RACIAL HARMONY THE PROMOTION OF RACIAL HARMONY AND GOOD RACE RELATIONS BETWEEN THE NIGERIAN COMMUNITY IN LEEDS AND OTHER MEMBERS OF SOCIETY, FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY: (I) PROMOTING KNOWLEDGE AND MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN DIFFERENT RACIAL GROUPS; (II) ADVANCING EDUCATION AND RAISING AWARENESS ABOUT DIFFERENT RACIAL GROUPS TO PROMOTE GOOD RELATIONS BETWEEN PERSONS OF DIFFERENT RACIAL GROUPS; AND (III) WORKING TOWARDS THE ELIMINATION OF DISCRIMINATION ON THE GROUNDS OF RACE. (D) ADVANCEMENT OF ENTERPRISE THE PROMOTION FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC OF NIGERIAN DESCENT IN LEEDS OF ENTERPRISE, BY ALL OR ANY OF THE FOLLOWING MEANS: (I) THE RELIEF OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP; (II) THE RELIEF OF UNEMPLOYMENT; (III) THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION, TRAINING OR RETRAINING, PARTICULARLY AMONG UNEMPLOYED PEOPLE, AND PROVIDING UNEMPLOYED PEOPLE WITH WORK EXPERIENCE; AND (IV) THE PROVISION OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE OR BUSINESS ADVICE OR CONSULTANCY IN ORDER TO PROVIDE TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR UNEMPLOYED PEOPLE IN CASES OF FINANCIAL OR OTHER CHARITABLE NEED THROUGH HELP: (I) IN SETTING UP THEIR OWN BUSINESS, OR (II) TO EXISTING BUSINESSES.
