Charitable objects
THE BAND SHALL BE CALLED LEYLAND BAND (HEREAFTER REFERRED TO AS 'THE BAND') THE OBJECT OF THE BAND IS TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE UNITED KINGDOM AND THROUGHOUT THE WORLD, IN THE ART AND SCIENCE OF BRITISH BRASS BAND MUSIC THROUGH THE PROVISION OF PUBLIC BAND CONCERTS AND RECITALS AND TRAINING IN BRASS BAND MUSIC. THE BAND IS TO EXIST AS AN UN-INCORPORATED ASSOCIATION REPRESENTING PERSONS WHO HAVE BEEN ADMITTED INTO MEMBERSHIP OF THE BAND. IT IS TO EXIST AS A BRASS BAND WITH THE APPROPRIATE CONVENTIONAL INSTRUMENTATION. THE BAND IS TO REMAIN WITHOUT POLITICAL OR RELIGIOUS AFFILIATION WHILST OPERATING IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL APPLICABLE, CURRENT ACTS OF PARLIAMENT (EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES, RACE RELATIONS, DISABILITY, HEALTH AND SAFETY, CHARITIES ACT).
