Salem is an Evangelical Christian Church that provides worship and pastoral care in a traditional setting. It also provides facilities for a number of Young Persons' Uniformed Organisations and a meeting place for a number of Barnsley based groups. It sustains quality in its preaching and ministries and preserves traditional hymnology through a restored pipe organ with musical excellence.
