Charitable objects
TO PROMOTE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC, THE CONSERVATION, PROTECTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE PHYSICAL AND NATURAL ENVIRONMENT OF THE HUMBERHEAD LEVELS, PARTICULARLY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY WITHIN THE PARISHES OF SYKEHOUSE, FISHLAKE AND FENWICK AND IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY:- (I) PURCHASING OR LEASING PARCELS OF LAND OF SIGNIFICANCE DUE TO THEIR WILDLIFE OR OTHER CONSERVATION VALUE INCLUDING PARCELS OF LAND WHICH ARE USED BY WILDLIFE FOR THEIR HABITAT FEEDING AND BREEDING PURPOSES. (II) LIASING WITH PUBLIC AND LOCAL AUTHORITIES CONCERNED WITH NATURE CONSERVATION AND OTHERS WORKING IN CONSERVATION WITH A VIEW TO ASSISTING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF NATURE CONSERVATION PROJECTS. (III) PRESERVING THE FABRIC OF THE LANDSCAPE, IN PARTICULAR THE GRASSLANDS, WETLANDS, DITCHES AND HEDGEROWS. (IV) MAKING ARRANGEMENTS WITH, AND PERMITTING LOCAL SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES TO USE THE LAND FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES AND NATURE CONSERVATION STUDIES. (V) EDUCATING THE PUBLIC IN THE CONSERVATION, PROTECTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE AREA.
