MEMORANDUM AND ARTICLES OF ASSOCIATION INCORPORATED 29 AUGUST 2008 AS AMENDED BY SPECIAL RESOLUTION 15 NOVEMBER 2009
Charitable objects
1 FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, THE RELIEF OF THE SICK AND THE PROMOTION OF GOOD HEALTH AMONG THOSE IN FINANCIAL NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS AND THOSE WHO ARE IN NEED OF SUCH ASSISTANCE IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY THE PROVISION OF MEDICAL SERVICES. 2 TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC BY; A THE PRESERVATION, CONSERVATION AND THE PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT AND THE PRUDENT USE OF RESOURCES; B THE RELIEF OF POVERTY AND THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE IN SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGES COMMUNITIES; AND C THE PROMOTION OF SUSTAINABLE MEANS OF ACHIEVING ECONOMIC GROWTH AND REGENERATION. SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT MEANS 'DEVELOPMENT WHICH MEETS THE NEEDS OF THE PRESENT WITHOUT COMPROMISING THE ABILITY OF FUTURE GENERATIONS TO MEET THEIR OWN NEEDS'. 3 TO PROMOTE THE CONSERVATION AND PRESERVATION OF SUSTAINABLE ECO-SYSTEMS AND BIO-DIVERSITY IN PARTICULAR THROUGH RESEARCH, EDUCATION AND PRACTICAL DEMONSTRATIONS; AND 4 TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION AND SKILLS AMONG THOSE IN FINANCIAL NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS AND THOSE WHO ARE IN NEED OF SUCH ASSISTANCE. THE CHARITY SHALL OPERATE INITIALLY IN THE HIMALAYAN REGION OF INDIA BUT WILL SERVE OTHER AREAS WHERE THERE IS A CHARITABLE NEED AT THE DISCRETION OF THE TRUSTEES.
