THE RELIEF OF POVERTY AND THE ASSISTANCE OF PEOPLE IN ANY PART OF THE WORLD WHO ARE VICTIMS OF NATURAL OR MAN-MADE CATASTROPHES (INCLUDING FAMINE, PESTILENCE, EARTHQUAKE, VOLCANIC ERUPTION, TIDAL WAVE, WAR OR CIVIL DISTURBANCE) OR OF THE IMMEDIATE OF CONTINUING RESULT OF WANT OF NATURAL OR ARTIFICIAL RESOURCES OR THE MEANS TO DEVELOP THEM, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY THE PROVISION OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, FOOD, HEATING, CLOTHING, SHELTER, TRAINING AND EDUCATION AND BY UNDERTAKING OR ASSISTING IN WORK CALCULATED TO ACHIEVE THESE PURPOSES; AND IN DOING SO TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC CONCERNING THE NATURE, CAUSES AND EFFECTS OF POVERTY, DISTRESS AND SUFFERING.
