Activities - how the charity spends its money
Founded in May 1998 Liverpool Bereavement Service (LBS) is a charitable company devoted to providing the only exclusive bereavement service for adults and children of Liverpool and surrounding areas. We have 4 part time paid member of staff and approx 50 volunteers. LBS offers one to one counselling. The organisation offers training courses on "Loss & Bereavement" which can be tailored to suit.

TO PROMOTE, IMPROVE, DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN THE PROVISION OF COUNSELLING, ADVICE AND SUPPORT TO PERSONS SUFFERING FROM BEREAVEMENT AND EDUCATION AND TRAINING IN AND ACCESS TO INFORMATION ON THE SUBJECT OF BEREAVEMENT TO PROFESSIONALS OF WHATEVER KIND COMING INTO CONTACT WITH PERSONS SUFFERING FROM BEREAVEMENT IN THE COURSE OF THEIR PROFESSIONAL DUTIES AND PUBLIC EDUCATION AND TRAINING IN AND ACCESS TO INFORMATION ON THE SUBJECT OF BEREAVEMENT FOR THE PURPOSE OF ALLEVIATING AND RELIEVING DISTRESS, POVERTY, MISERY, ANGUISH AND ILLNESS WHETHER PHYSICAL OR MENTAL AND OF AFFORDING HELP, SUCCOUR AND COMFORT TO PERSONS SUFFERING FROM BEREAVEMENT, OPERATING IN THE UNITED KINGDOM AND PARTICULARLY IN AND AROUND THE CITY OF LIVERPOOL AND OPERATING BY THE PROVISION OF COUNSELLING SERVICES AND OF TRAINING SEMINARS AND COURSES AND OF WRITTEN MATERIAL CONTAINING SUCH INFORMATION AS THE DIRECTORS SHALL IN THEIR DISCRETION DEEM USEFUL AND BY SUCH OTHER WAYS AS THE DIRECTORS SHALL FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE, AND FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF SUCH OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSES AS ARE BENEFICIAL TO THE COMMUNITY OF PERSONS RESIDENT OR WORKING IN OR AROUND THE CITY OF LIVERPOOL.
