Charitable objects

1) THE RELIEF OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP FOR LOCAL FAMILIES OF CHILDREN WITH A LIFE THREATENING ILLNESS OR CONDITION WHO ARE RECEIVING CARE THROUGH THE CHILDREN’S WARD OR CLINICS AT THE NORTH DEVON DISTRICT HOSPITAL OR THOSE REFERRED BY THE NORTH DEVON DISTRICT HOSPITAL FOR TERTIARY CARE, THROUGH THE PROVISION OF GRANTS TO ASSIST WITH COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THEIR CHILD’S ILLNESS, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, TRAVEL EXPENSES AND LOSS OF EARNINGS.” 2) THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS AND PRESERVATION OF HEALTH OF PATIENTS OF NORTH DEVON DISTRICT HOSPITAL CHILDREN’S WARD BY PROVIDING AND ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES, SUPPORT SERVICES AND EQUIPMENT NOT NORMALLY PROVIDED BY THE STATUTORY AUTHORITIES. 3) TO PROMOTE SUCH OTHER PURPOSES BEING EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE ACCORDING TO THE LAWS OF ENGLAND AND WALES AS THE TRUSTEES MAY FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE.
