Derby Womens Centre provides a range of activities to enchance the well being of women and girls in Derbyshire. We deliver a highly respected counselling service, a series of drop in coffee mornings, alternative therapies, drama therapy, benefit & debt advice; employment & Volunteering advice. We run relaxation and confidence building courses and hold drama therapy classes & provide legal advice.

THE RELIEF OF WOMEN IN THE COUNTY OF DERBYSHIRE WHO ARE IN CONDITIONS OF NEED, HARDSHIP AND DISTRESS BY THE PROVISION OF HELP, SUPPORT AND ADVICE ON A RANGE OF ISSUES INCLUDING LEGAL RIGHTS, EMPLOYMENT, CHILD CARE, WELFARE RIGHTS, FINANCIAL MATTERS4001, DISCRIMINATION AGAINST WOMEN GENERALLY AND EQUALITY OF OPPURTUNITY BETWEEN MEN AND WOMEN GENERALLY; 2. THE PROTECTION AND PRESERVATION OF HEALTH OF WOMEN RESIDENT AS AFROESAID BY MEANS OF TRAINING, COUNSELLING AND DISCUSSION GROUPS AND THE PROVISION0002 OF FACILITIES FOR MEDICAL EXAMINATION. 3. THE PROVISION IN THE INTERESTES OF SOCIL WELFARE, OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION FOR WOMEN AND GIRLS RESIDENT AS AFORESAID.
