Based in Northumberland, Equorum operates for the benefit of both equines and people - particularly individuals who are vulnerable or have learning difficulties. As well as providing horse rescue and rehabilitation, we offer education in many aspects of horse care and also offer equine assisted learning to individuals and groups.

TO PROVIDE AND PROMOTE EQUINE EDUCATION AND RECREATION FOR INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE VULNERABLE AND/OR HAVE MENTAL DISABILITIES OR ILLNESS. THIS INCLUDES, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, VOCATIONAL AND NON-VOCATIONAL COURSES. TO PROVIDE EQUINE ASSISTED LEARNING TO INDIVIDUALS WHERE IT IS DEEMED APPROPRIATE AND BENEFICIAL. TO PROVIDE EDUCATION AND TRAINING TO MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC REGARDING HORSE CARE AND REHABILITATION. TO PROMOTE HUMANE BEHAVIOUR TOWARDS HORSES AND PONIES BY PROVIDING CARE, PROTECTION, TREATMENT AND SECURITY FOR ANIMALS WHICH ARE IN NEED OF CARE AND ATTENTION BY REASON OF SICKNESS, MALTREATMENT, POOR CIRCUMSTANCES OR ILL USAGE. TO REHABILITATE AND, WHERE POSSIBLE, RE-HOME HORSES AND PONIES IN OUR CARE. TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC IN MATTERS PERTAINING TO ANIMAL WELFARE IN GENERAL AND THE PREVENTION OF CRUELTY AND SUFFERING AMONG ANIMALS. TO PROVIDE EDUCATION AND TRAINING TO MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC REGARDING HORSE CARE AND REHABILITATION.
