"TO PROMOTE THE BENEFIT OF AFRICAN WOMEN AND THEIR DEPENDANTS IN GREATER MANCHESTER WHO ARE SEEKING ASYLUM OR HAVE BEEN GRANTED REFUGEE STATUS BY: (A) THE RELIEF OF POVERTY, SICKNESS AND DISTRESS; (B) THE PROMOTION OF GOOD HEALTH; AND (C) THE PROVISION OF RECREATIONAL FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE; TO ADVANCE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN GENERAL ABOUT THE ISSUES FACED BY THESE WOMEN; THE RELIEF OF POVERTY AND THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION OF POOR FAMILIES AND ORPHANS IN AFRICA IN SUCH WAYS AS THE TRUSTEES THINK FIT"
