Charitable objects
The Charity's objects are restricted specifically to the following for the public benefit: (i) to advance education to socially and economically disadvantaged students, in order to facilitate advancements in the areas of educational research and development, the creation of infrastructure for educational purposes and innovative teaching methods which will lead to socio-economic development and a reduction in poverty; (ii) to promote the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment by encouraging the preservation and restoration of ecosystems and biodiversity, and the prevention of climate change; (iii) the promotion of equality and diversity by the elimination of discrimination on the grounds of gender, and encouraging societal changes in favour of gender equality; (iv) to encourage and promote an appreciation of excellence in the arts, including but not limited to the area of fine art; (v) the relief of those in need due to financial hardship, age, ill-health or disability by providing or assisting in the provision of physical and mental healthcare support and rehabilitation; (vi) to promote sustainable development by: (a) the preservation, conservation and the protection of the environment and the prudent use of resources; (b) the relief of poverty and the improvement of the conditions of life in socially and economically disadvantaged communities; and (c) the promotion of sustainable means of achieving economic growth and regeneration; and (vii) to advance the education of the public in subjects relating to sustainable development and the protection, enhancement and rehabilitation of the environment and to promote study and research in such subjects provided that the useful results of such study are disseminated to the public at large. In this clause, "sustainable development" means development which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs."
